[edit] Background
Half-Life 2: Episode 3 is the final expansion of the Half-Life 2 story of the Half-Life universe. But, it is not entirely sure if it will be the last Half-Life game. No details have been announced, although a few pieces of concept art has been released.
In a March 2010 interview, the Managing Director of Valve, Gabe Newell, said that they plan on "broadening the emotional palette" so that the game will return to "genuinely scaring the player".
[edit] Gameplay
Even though the game has not been released quite yet, it is expected that gameplay will follow the previous games, Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, and Half-Life 2: Episode Two. Rumor thought is that the Portal Gun is to be expected as a playable weapon.
