Electro Sapper


The Electro Sapper is a weapon unique to the Spy in Team Fortress 2. It allows them to sabotage the mechanical genius of the the Engineers of the opposing team, while still disguised.

[edit] Strategy

  • Wearing a disguise, sneak up on enemy equipment such as Dispensers, Sentries, and Teleporters
  • Place a sapper on the equipment while remaining discrete

It is usually easier to place sappers on Dispensers or Teleporters because those are normally used by team members but attaching one to a sentry can cause suspicion.

You must act quickly and try to do this while the engineer is away because it takes 7 seconds to destroy Level 1 Sentries, Teleporters, and Dispensers. The most time for the full sapper effect is 10 seconds.
