Counter-Strike - Half-Life

Console commands in Half Life: Counter Strike are entered in the console which can be enabled in various ways. The easiest way to enable is to right click on the shortcut to the game on your desktop and add the -console parameter to the target field so that it looks similar to this:

C:\Sierra\Counter-Strike\cstrike.exe -console

Then when you are in a game you can bring the console with the '~' key. If this doesn't work open your config.cfg file in the CS directory with a text editor and try looking for these two lines:

If those are missing add them. While you are at the cfg file find the line that reads "console "1.0"" if it 0.0 then change it to 1.0
